Rev. Longcrier...Luna and Bethel's Hero!
Image
Hero!
Luna and Bethel are watching the CNN Youtube debates right now, yes Luna and Bethel are!  In case you don't know, Youtube and CNN gave all Americans the chance to ask the presidential candidates questions!  Luna and Bethel know all about that, but you might not.  Anyhow, Luna and Bethel interrupted their watching and watching to introduce you to Luna and Bethel's new hero, Reverend Reggie Longcrier, pastor of Exodus Missionary Outreach Church in Hickory, N.C.  Reverend Longcrier asked John Edwards a very interesting question, yes Reverend Longcrier did!  Luna and Bethel loved it!  Click Read More to read his good good question now!  Or click here to watch the question yourself!

Reverend Longcrier asked:

Sen. Edwards has said his opposition to gay marriage has been influenced by his Southern Baptist background.
We know religion was once used to justify slavery, segregation and women not being allowed to vote, all of which today are recognized as unconstitutional and socially and morally wrong.
So why is it still acceptable to use religion to justify denying gay and lesbian American their full and equal rights.

Isn't that a good good question?  Luna and Bethel thought so.  Of course John Edwards didn't answer it.  He's still struggling.  Well, so are Luna and Bethel's secretaries.  They are struggling for their equal rights, but unlike Senator Edwards, the struggle isn't internal.

Thanking Reverand Longcrier from the bottom of their hearts,

Luna and Bethel!

Dear Luna and Bethel, Boo and Spot are in a quandary. They are used to people asking stupid questions and making stupid statements or generally acting like asses, and Boo and Spot get to ponder that stupidity and respond like a pair of goofball dogs, or recruit Lynx the cat to say something incredibly snarky. Boo and Spot have no idea how to respond to genuine sense and sensibility. Even Lynx is nonplussed.

Yay, for the Rev!
Love, Boo and Spot.

p.s. And since Sen. Edwards has opened that can of worms, Lynx would like to know if he can have some. Worms is tasty! Yum yum.
